Hi all- I am a 57 year old female, living in norther British Columbia. I joined a gym in september as I know I need to do something about my health. Now that I have found this site, I hope to be able to stick to my goals and learn alot more to help me in the journay on liveing a healthy life style.

My Goals:
I need to add excersie to my life, as a way of life. Also I would like to loose weight, so I can be as healthy as I can be. Should be an interesting journey.

My Program:
I go to the gym 3 times aweek for strenght training. Then I use our treadmill 4 days aweek for cardo. I also use my wii to add more excercise to my week.

Hi! This journey is definitely possible. It's easy to tell people to forgive themselves when they screw up, but it's harder to really internalize that and do it for yourself. I think I've finally gotten to the point where I can do it on a consistent basis. I still have 16 lbs to go, but I already feel so much better about myself and what I can do.

One of the things I've learned is that even though it took a couple years to lose all the weight I've lost, that doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm healthier now than I was. And when you feel like the scale should have moved, but it didn't, if you simply move forward and keep making good choices, that scale will have no choice but to move eventually. Either way, each good decision you make moves you one step closer to developing good habits.
