Running the Race of My Life!

I am in my 50s and ready to get healthy so that I can enjoy this time of my life! God has plans for my life and I need to be in tip-top shape so that I can carry them out! For the past couple years I have been participating in the BLC teams on Spark People - I have been a Groovy Gecko and I love it! I am absolutely delighted with all the tools that are provided by Spark People! I wish everyone the best on their wellness journeys!

My Goals:
SHORT TERM GOALS:

Weight Goal = Reach 214 by the end of November!

Nutrition Goals = Keep eating clean; Keep tracking food; Add multivitamin.

Exercise Goal = Daily - 30 minutes of cardio; 10 minutes of strength training; stretch routine

Motivation Goal = Write down three positive things that I have done at the end of each day.

LONG TERM GOALS:

Enjoy enhanced health and wellness!

Have energy to do important things in my life!

Gain control over blood sugars, diet, activities, and motivation!

My Program:
Eat clean; complex carbs; good protein, fat, and carb mix!

Water, water, water!

Progressive exercise program!

Motivation ~ Daily chats with God! At least 30 minutes per day on motivational activities, such as earning Spark points and giving Spark goodies!

Personal Information:
From Maryland.

Married for 30 years to marvelous man. Have two wonderful children in their 20's and doing well in life! Have 4 dogs - 2 yellow lab pups, an English mastiff, and a stray German wire-haired pointer/chocolate lab mix.

Teach college nursing courses for three universities online. Considering what changes to make in career since earning the PhD.
