I am 72 years young, married to my first love for 52 years. We live in Maine, VACATIONLAND. We came here from England and intended to stay just 2 years. We have stayed here 51 years in the same city and have been very happy here. Our sons had to move away from here alas to find work. That gives us two places we need to go to visit. Our other son is in upstate New York. He is the closest but you cannot get there from here in the winter. There is just too much snow in the White and Green Mountains. Summer we try to catch up with the grandchildren.

My Goals:
My goal is to be as healthy, fit and happy as possible. I like to see places in Maine in our small Motor Home and drive it as long as I can.

My Program:
I have always tracked food due to allergies so that goal is almost met. Improving my fitness (after a back injury cramped my style) is a little harder. I use my stepper to stregthen my leg that was adversely affected from the surgery. I love to walk outdoors in the summer. In the winter I have to overcome my fear of falling on ice so I walk on the treadmill daily.

Personal Information:
My name is Pat my mother was Nora, hence Noraspat. I was born during World War 2 in England. My mother, brother and I were homeless till I was about 10 years old. I never met our father. Our mother always told us. We will be Clean, Honest and you will both be well educated. That was the way it was. We were poor and happy living with any relative who would take us in for a while.

Other Information:
My husband and I rent movies, nothing nasty we lived with enough nasty in our childhood during the war. We like comedy and old classic Mystery. We miss Alistair Cooke masterpiece, the newer ones are often not as good as the older ones, times change and I do not. I ran an alterations shop in town for 24 years and loved doing it. The boys are in Upstate NY, California and Nevada and I miss them a lot.

good morning! got up with Robin as she has an early morning at work making pasties but then she will be off for the day. I have an appt. at the eye clinic in Virginia and hour away one way. I don't look forward to going thru all the eye tests again but need to do it. The doctor said I have a lazy eye caused my the astigmatism but I am doing ok. Strange driving without my glasses, I need a new pair of sunglasses. My youngest daughter, Penny, will come with me as she has an eye appt. too. Then we will eat and shop a bit.
That was a big job to do in your garden, good for you. I am sorry you had a bad headache but got some sleep.
Your dinner sounds very interesting except for the bad meal but it is nice to visit places from the past. to see the changes.
My sewer problem is back, need to get my BIL talking to the city as the problem is in their pipes and I can't afford to keep paying to have these pipes cleared. He was just here and there is water in the main again. I am so tired of it. Ever since John passed away there has been one problem after the other, even my toaster died, ha! That was an easy fix.
I hope you are feeling better my friend. I always remember when I first met you and you told me about the bottles you collect and you helped me get around in Sparks.
Robin is leaving and I think I will go back to bed and read or sleep. So dark in the mornings now. Georgine emoticon

Your dining experience sounds awesome! It is nice to have history about a place. So often we don't think about the history but it is fascinating and very interesting most of the time.

Found out yesterday I have cataracts - ugh. I see the surgeon on 10/4.

Headed off to Kansas on Friday to see our Son and his family.

For now, off to the sun room and to the bike.

You are never late in my way of thinking. I always treasure the times you have a moment to write me. I know the computer can be a challenge to you. It is to me and I had to use one for the last 28 years in one capacity or another...student, mom, teacher, ministry leader....If I could only get my Skype back up and running.
I talked to Mary Anne (Millissma) a while back she mentioned you in our conversation of Spark friends. Praying emoticon for your surgery and a quick recovery. Love and prayers,
