Part of the halloween costume I didn't really get to wear. Can you guess what its from/for?
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am overweight, constantly tired, and too stressed out. I need a change.
I'm hoping to be within a healthy weight range by early 2011. I'm not extremely strict with myself when it comes to goal time limits. As long as I am losing weight, I'm happy with my progress. Even if it takes me a little while. In 2003, I was 214lbs (or higher). Now I am 178lbs, having had my first child in between.
I want to live a long life, and see my children grow up and give me a bunch of grandchildren. That means getting myself into better shape than I am.
Eating well and moving more. That's essentially my program.
I am a mom and university student living in Newfoundland, Canada. I have a son under two-years-old, and I'm studying sociology/anthropology, with a minor in psychology.
I am a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan. I love Doctor Who, Star Trek, the Harry Potter series, the A Song of Ice and Fire series, the works of Neil Gaiman, and 90% of the works of Joss Whedon (Dollhouse = ugh). I am a complete geek, and comfortable saying so.

Hey Nolax -- No, no, no worries about what you wrote -- you aren't by any means the only one that's given me the "You have to love yourself and think of yourself as whole and as not needing anyone else, and it sounds like you do not feel whole" speech (I've had friends give it to me on this website AND on my other blog), and so I felt like I must not be communicating this relationship issue of mine correctly, and it was worth it to me to try to say what I meant. Believe me, I have enough self-awareness for a small country...I just absolutely hate sitting here simmering in so many thoughts and emotions and experiences and opportunities and LOVE...all alone. Honestly, it kind of feels l iike a waste of personhood.

The singalong I went to was pretty low-key, it was folks from a local independent movie-rental place that put it on. I was a latecomer to Buffy, didn't watch it while it was on. I started with Angel and then my husband talked me into Buffy with promises of the musical episode, though I was hooked long before we finally got there.
Actually, more fun than the one at the theatre - my friend and I had a Buffy singalong party at my place. We assigned parts, my fab husband (who wouldn't sing, darn it) made thematic food like chocolate-dipped strawberries "staked" with toothpicks and a bunch of other stuff that he took either from episodes or from the episode titles.

I have indeed seen Dr Horrible, highly awesome! Last year we went to a sing-along screening of the Buffy musical the day after Hallowe'en, it was such fun. We ordered t-shirts online - my husband got a Sunnydale Razorbacks one and mine said, "I've got a theory, it could be bunnies."
