No More Excuses

I put on 60 pounds between 2007 and 2010. I guess I could blame it on working the swing shift but, nobody else around me put on that amount of weight. My goal is to get back to a weight where I feel comfortable and maybe even to what the government says is a healthy weight for me.

It's been about three years since I wrote the paragraph above and I'm still at it. After dropping from a breath-taking all-time high of 198 lbs (on a 5' 1" frame mind you) I fell into a cycle of ...

It's been about three years since I wrote the paragraph above and I'm still at it. After dropping from a breath-taking all-time high of 198 lbs (on a 5' 1" frame mind you) I fell into a cycle of spending the first six months of the year losing 20lbs and the next six months of the year gaining 20lbs. Topping up at 165-170lbs and bottoming out at 145-150lbs. I'm comfy at 150lbs but it's still SEVENTEEN pounds more than the government thinks I should weigh. I don't feel good at 170lbs :-(

This year I'm going to try to get below 145 and STAY THERE. Wish me luck.

I fall into a much-similar boat with my weight. I went from working a highly physically active job to being a stay at home mum..and while I love being home with my little monkey, I've gained a good 60lbs in 3 years; mostly in the past 2. When my old "chubby" clothes were suddenly my skinny clothes, then didn't fit at all, it's a pretty big eye-opener. lol

I just read about your "trick to keep you motivated" and I've got to say, the multi-sized wardrobe sounds like an AMAZING idea and I can see how it would be a great motivator. Heck, I may just have to do that myself. :)

Wish you the best of health and luck.
