UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!! give me a day or two up update :)

Hey! My name is Noel and I am a 35 year old mother of two!

Hello! My name is Noel and I'm a 34 mother of two! Having children is amazing but time consuming. In addition to being "mom" I am also hold down a full time job and inch away at my degree. I have three classes left... I've had three classes left for better than a year so I'm moving forward with that at about a snail’s pace. I'll get with the program eventually. :)

So if you had read my intro anytime in the last couple years you would have seen one of my primary goals was to find my way back to fitness. Well, I'm 98.5 percent there. :) I committed to getting in shape for my well being and to be a good example to my children. Both my children seem to have a good understanding that being active should be an important part of everyone's life. My son and daughter both enjoy playing soccer and participate in karate and ballet respectively. My NEWish goal is to focus on competitive running and possibly venture out into the Triathlon world. That is something I’ve been toying with for a couple years but haven’t had the time or energy to fully purse. This year is different!

From my first post on my page I mentioned my hubby and I were both in the Army for a number of years but have landed ourselves in civilian positions working hand in hand with the military. We both want to stay as fit as our co-workers and in many cases motivate the soldiers we work with to be more fit. In many cases I have been reminded how much I like to share my love for fitness and running. I love teaching others about running and motivating people to achieve their goals. I hope to be able to help motivate other Sparkers to love running and other forms of fitness as much as I do :)
Weight loss- like most of us in our early thirties I have a little pudge I need to address but I 'm here for community not necessarily to loss a whole bunch of weight. I would like to get down to a competitive running weight but that will come in time. Until then, I'll just be working on the little things to get there!

ANYWHO- I would love to get to know each of you out there and find out how I can support you and YOUR goals. Nothing is more rewarding that knowing you are able to help others along their life journeys and help them meet their goals. Please let me know how I can help you!

Hey! I've been a runner most of my life but I have finally added in weight training. I am always in training for some race or another so my running program is less than exciting. I have added weight training 5 days a week. I'm sure that will taper when I redeploy and rejoin my family :)

When you first started training for your triathlon, were you already a good swimmer? I can swim and I think I do it pretty decently, but when I timed myself last summer, I realized I was a lot slower than the normal person. I want to start using the pool once a week, but I don't know how to get my swimming better, to be more efficient. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I hate being in this position and for so long now it seems. I'm sad I'll have to miss races that are important to me. I truly hope I'll get back to what I love soon.

Noellie, I didn't know you had a calf injury!! Daaaaayum. The Oly distance tri in FL sounds super, but it could be that the warm weather is sounding REAL good to me right now, LOL.

How long will you be at Ft. Meade? That's going to be cool. But yeah, moving is traumatic, hahaha. Getting to a new place is always exciting. But I'm also freaking out over whether or not our stuff will even make it to the new location. So glad to hear your hubby is coming home soon, too.

I'm trying out snowshoeing in a few weeks. Gonna see how badly I fare on that! It'll be fun.

Thanks for your comment on my "Still Gimpy" blog. I am pretty frustrated. I want to get moving again.

Hey, it's so nice seeing you on my page! What's been shakin' with ya? I'm doing great, not running as much as I was last year. But I'm still working out a lot (still stick with my 5-6 day/week sched).

Hope you're doing great. I wanna know what you've been up to as well!
