Hello...My name is Nkechi (pronounced Nikki). I am a mother of five beautiful children and I am here for them. I never have the energy to actually sit down and just be with them and I hate myself for it everyday. I want to be a role model for them so I found myself here. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. My weight holds me back from so many of the things I used to do...swimming, socializing, playing with my kids, my husband, even wanting to go back to school...and I hate it. I have never really known how to eat healthy or live healthy for that matter and I am learning so much from this site...I am addicted!! I had a slight setback after already losing 40 pounds and found out that I was pregnant again, with my fourth child (and fifth), and ended up gaining all of my weight back. I am getting started again with a starting weight of 272 lbs. I am going to start setting small goals for myself for now and see how it goes.

Goal #1: 265 lbs.
Goal #2: 250 lbs.

My Goals:
My main goals are getting healthy...I want to be at my healthy weight for my 15 yr wedding anniversary so I can surprise my husband with a vow renewal.

My Program:
I am using the sparkpeople generated strength programs, Turbo Jam, and I stopped drinking soda and eating outrageous amounts of snacks and sweets.

The woman on The Revolution was advised against doing that but she did eat and drink LOADS of water and take breaks while under supervision the entire time. Personally, I wouldn't WANT to attempt that! I don't sleep much or well as it is, but giving it up on purpose? HAHAHA! No thanks! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for reading my blog today. I never thought it would be read by so many people.
I just felt if I can do this at my age with Spark others should know that they can too. Just believe in yourself you are so worth it.

Someone took my toothpaste tube and filled it up with jam.
Someone changed my sandwich into fluffernut-and-ham.
Someone laced my sneakers so they tie down by my toes.
Someone changed the vacuum so it doesn't suck, it blows.
Someone poured the sugar out and filled the bowl with salt.
Someone messed up all the clocks and made it seem my fault.
For me today, I have to say, it's nervousness that rules....
Since all that happened yesterday and now it's April Fools'!
