Hi Spark Friends!
I joined this site on after my sister sent me a link. I've been trying to lose weight on and off for most of my life. Well, now my babies are in school, so its time to take care of me and get this done! I've got over 100 pounds to lose and I truly believe that every tool I need to do it is right here on this web site. I've set my first goal, to lose 25 pounds by September 30th, and I did it! I'd love to lose 50 by my anniversary in summer, so that will be my second goal. I believe the way to meet these goals is by using every tool on this website, so that's what I plan to do! Best of luck to all of us!
Lose 25 lbs. - 9/15/08-done!
Lose 50 lbs -
Lose 75 lbs -
Lose 100 lbs-
Lose 125 pounds!
Stay within the Spark calorie range
Exercise 4x's a week- for now I'm alternating between 3 and 4 miles.
Drink 8 (or more) glasses of water a day
Include fruits and veggies with every meal. Its time to stop counting french fries as a veggie!
I just turned 41, I've been married for 10 years and I have 3 beautiful children. In January we'll have our first puppy!
I love to scrapbook and play with my kids. I'm also a big movie fan, but I never get a chance to go to the movies, so I'm actually a DVD fan!

How willing are you to learn something new? How open are you to new perspectives?
Only when we're open can we really hear what's being said or really see what's happening or really experience the moment.
Openness demands that we be willing to move to places we've never been before. It asks us to continually challenge the foundations of our belief systems so we can test out new ideas. And to do that, we need to accept insecurity.
Make this week all about committing to the changes you want to see and learning new things.

Too many times people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more material things or money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the
reverse. You must first BE who you really are, then DO what you love to do, in order to HAVE what you want.
The formula for success is first Be, then Do, then Have. If our material abundance reflects the quality of our BEING, then how much do we focus on what we are actually DOING? As with everything in life, it’s a matter of balance.
How do we keep our inner fire alive? 2 things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done’?
