Time to get healthy

I know I feel better when I am at a lower weight so now it is time to take off those pounds and KEEP THEM OFF!! I can do this!! I have a wonderful DH and 2 sweet children, 1 DS and 1 DD. My DH and I will celebrate our 18th anniversary this year. I want to get healthy to set a good example. I am the cook in the family and they''ll eat whatever I fix (almost), so when I am cooking healthy, they are eating healthy. I want my children to know that eating healthy food and exercising regularly ...

I have had trouble being consistent and staying motivated. I have joined a couple of great Sparkteams to get the support and accountability I need. **Short Term Goal -19 lbs by Spring Break Disney Trip** Starting Weight - 214 Goal Weight - 195 **Pounds Left to lose on short term goal - 15.3** Long term Goal SW: 214 CW: 210.3 GW: 160 Pounds to lose this year: 54 lbs Left to lose: 50.3 lbs ________________ 1st 5% goal - 203 Reward - Pedicure 2nd 5% goal - 192 Reward - Mani/Pedi & new shoes 3rd 5% goal - 182 Reward - Plan special date :) 4th 5% goal - 173 Reward - Spa Day 5th 5% goal - 164 Reward - Shopping day!! Final Goal - 160 Reward - Hmm maybe a Bunco night!!!

My Goals:
To make it to my goal weight and stay there. I want to be healthy and to look great for my DH. He would never say I don't, but I want to know I do. To eat more whole foods, less processed junk.
To make exercise an important part of my life even after I have lost the weight.

My Program:
Starting again
September 2014

Right now I my goals are:
1. Drink more water
2. Eat more fruits and veggies.
3. Start exercising again. Try to find something I really enjoy

Goals for 2014:
1.Lose 53 lbs.
2. Make quiet times a priority.
3. Limit eating out as much as possible and make better choices when I do.

Personal Information:
I was born in Chicago, I'm a BEAR Fan for life!! Since then I have lived all over the US from Illinois, to Wyoming from Alabama to Texas to California and back to Texas again!! Texas is by far my favorite!! JS Though I did love California, too!

Other Information:
I love any movie based on a Jane Austen book, especially Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth).

I love Hallmark movies. My daughter and I love to snuggle up and watch them.

I also love reading! Especially Christian Fiction. Some favorites are the Redemption series by Terri Blackstock and the Baxter Family Books by Karen Kingsbury. They were really good. I also like authors, Judith Miller, Tracie Peterson , Dee Henderson and many others. The O'Malley Series is another great one!

This is a GREAT group to be in! You will find lots of new friends, all with ideas to help and support you at different stages on your journey, so please don’t ever be afraid to ask questions or for help/support. Even if it seems like a small thing, but it is important enough to you to think about or wonder about, put it out there on the boards, someone will have the answer, or will have been there and can help you.
