Time to get healthy

I know I feel better when I am at a lower weight so now it is time to take off those pounds and KEEP THEM OFF!!
I can do this!!

I have a wonderful DH and 2 sweet children, 1 DS and 1 DD. My DH and I will celebrate our 17th anniversary this year.

I want to get healthy is to set a good example. I am the cook in the family and they'll eat whatever I fix (almost), so when I am cooking healthy, they are eating healthy.

I want my children to know that ...

I have had trouble being consistent and staying motivated. I have joined a couple of great Sparkteams to get the support and accountability I need.

My Goals:
To make it to my goal weight and stay there. To look great for my DH. He would never say I don't, but I want to know I do. To eat more whole foods, less processed junk.
To make exercise an important part of my life even after I have lost the weight.

My Program:
Starting again
January 2014

Right now I my goals are:
1. Drink more water
2. Eat more fruits and veggies.
3. Start exercising again. Try to find something I really enjoy

Goals for 2014:
1.Lose 44 lbs.
2. Make quiet times a priority.
3. Limit eating out as much as possible and make better choices when I do.

Personal Information:
Well I have lived all over the country. I was born in Chicago, I'm a BEAR Fan for life!!

Have moved out west and down south and now our latest move has taken us from the great state of TEXAS to California. Not sure how I feel about that yet, but it has been good so far. Texas is still where I feel most at home, so I miss it there very much.


Other Information:
I love any movie based on a Jane Austen book, especially Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth).

I love Hallmark movies. My daughter and I love to snuggle up and watch them.

I also love reading! Especially Christian Fiction. I just finished reading the Boo series by Rene Gutterridge, it was great. I have found myself laughing out loud often while reading them. I have also read a series by Terri Blackstock called Redemption and the Baxter Family Books by Karen Kingsbury. They were really good. I also like authors, Judith Miller, Tracie Peterson , Dee Henderson and many others. The O'Malley Series is another great one!

I just added you as a "Spark friend" because you remind me of....me! But smaller! I am going to use your goals as motivation and watch as you get smaller and smaller ahead of me (I am at 202.8 and stuck). No pressure! Really...

I'm a member of Team Indygirl too, and I saw one of your posts on there and thought I would check out your page. I love Indy girls mantra of "lose, maintain, just don't gain" too. :) She is a very positive and motivating person. And our starting weight and goal weight is about the same, so I hope you don't mind me adding you as a friend. Good luck to you.
