September 10, 2012, I joined SparkPeople. I tracked my water, my fruits/vegetables, and my 3 fast break goals. Nothing else. I borrowed The Spark from the library after being on the hold list for a bit. (Now retired, I don't buy books without borrowing them first). And I succeeded! I lost one whole pound in those three weeks, but I mostly met those goals for Stage 1.

Now I'm meeting with limited success in losing weight, but I'm NOT giving up! I'm bouncing around at 35-39 pounds lost. Once I hit the 40-pound mark, but I didn't hold it well after my Dad died in January 2013. He was my best cheerleader!

I maintained for most of a year, but now I'm struggling and have been trending up for much of 2014. Time to get back on track!

My Goals:
I will continue to believe that Jesus Christ died to pay for my sins. And, when I struggle, "Lord, help my unbelief."

I will reach and maintain a healthy weight of no more than 140 pounds. (Final goal still undecided).



My Program:
I will drink 8 cups of water a day.

I will walk at least 3 miles 6 days each week.

Intellectually, I'm mostly committed to a Paleo eating plan, but I'm having a hard time translating that into action.

Thank you for your comments on my blog. I am not being ungrateful to the Spark Staff and I feel that the site serves a valuable purpose but that a lot of the people who it could really help are being frightened away by the problems caused by the changes. After all the fact is that the more members that belong to the site, the more money can be charged for advertising and the longer the site will stay free!!
