For those new to my page, I'd initially stated that community participation would come hard for me. For those new to my page, I'd initially stated that community participation would come hard for me. I check my Facebook page at most weekly, and wouldn't dream of putting anything even remotely personal "out there." Yet I find that I enjoy the SparkTeams that I'm committing to. I still mostly do game threads and team check-in items. I also frequently "like" something without making a comment. But I'm beginning to send SparkMail of a more personal nature, and today I got my first ideas about a blog.

Well, I ended up posting one blog, but it was not the one I'm still mulling over. It was serendipitous I guess one could say.

******

Now it's mid-December. I've reached my 3 month SparkVersary. Even though my tracker says 30 pounds lost, some came before I joined SP. I started my stats with the date of November 1, 2011, because that was the first time I really took medical advice to lose weight seriously. I didn't do well on my own, losing maybe a pound a month until April. At that time, I decided to give Atkins a try. Yes, you read correctly - a try, not a commitment. Well, I did a bit better, but not much and not for long.

September 10 I joined SparkPeople. I tracked my water, my fruits/vegetables, and my 3 fast break goals.
I borrowed The Spark from the library after being on the hold list for a bit. (Now retired, I don't buy books without borrowing them first). And I succeeded! I lost one whole pound in those three weeks, but I mostly met those goals! By the time I completed Stage 1, I was ready to do some planning, some tracking, some walking, more stretching, and then I grew from there.

I know I still need to stick my neck out more in the way of blogging. But I discovered a team that was for my geographic area, and then learned it was inactive.
So I'm tackling the task that's really giving me some pause. I signed up to work with the CoMo Let's Go! team, and I'm putting the future of the team in God's hands.

Thanks for thinking of me -- it was a very hard day, but also beautiful, I will be posting a blog in a couple days - we have some really nice pictures of spreading Dad's ashes & the family get together. I am so sad not buying a Father's Day present for the 1st time in my life - and I am sure you felt the same way.

Hope it's a great Wednesday. Looks like an indoor day today. Did get out for a walk with my Spark Dog Mr. Spot, but it is very gray and set to rain. UGH.

That's so cool that your grandson saw his first double yolk egg! My kids used to LOVE to help me cook. Now they cook, but it's for themselves. At least they learned that skill!

HUGS and smiles.
