The Nite Spot

Well, my Spark Page suits me pretty well in much the same format now as it was when I first set it up. Don't know if that's because I'm too lazy to change it or I just like it like it is?

Many of the last pictures in the photo gallery are shots from our weekly "assignment" in the Shutterbugs Group, if they don't seem to make any sense, you'll probably have to go there and scroll back to get the context.

My Goals:
Lose weight! Specifically, seventy pounds and look better than I did at forty when I'm sixty five. Lower blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar.

A little addendum on 1/14/07:

The above was posted after I joined January 14, 2006 and here it is a year later. My resting pulse is around 58 (was 75), BP is now 105/65 (was 170/90) and I'm down well over eighty pounds. All the problems aren't yet solved, but many sure are out of the way, thanks to sticking with the Spark People plan. So yes, it works!

My Program:
Watching calories and avoiding all forms of bad carbs. Exercising and being more active in general. Meditation.

HI there - THANK YOU so much for the comment on my photo blog and THANK YOU for the words of wisdom about maintenance. Right now I now NO intention to let it slack and play to keep working out as I have since I started. I have to stay healthy!! I have a bum ankle rightnow and it's driving me crazy that I can't workout yesterday or today. I admit I am scared of what COULD happen if I don't workout and if I go back to old habits.
