I am currently a stay at home mom of three girls. My first two daughters are close together, my oldest was born in April 2009 and my next daughter was born in December 2010. After my second pregnancy, and with the help of spark people, I was able to lose 35 lbs, just 5 lbs short of my goal at the time.
In August of 2012 I had my first anxiety attack. I thought I was having a heart attack and went into emergency, it was terrifying. This was the start of a 2 year journey filled with weight gain. The first year I was in denial and afraid. I kept thinking that one day it would just go away the same as it had came. WRONG! The second year was when I finally decided to get help and I spent the entire year learning to live with anxiety and accepting that it was a part of me and that I could control it rather then it controlling me. It was hard, but I did it. Unfortunatly I was so consumed with my anxiety over those two years I didn't even notice that I had gained 40lbs. By August 2014 I finally felt alive again. I knew that I wanted to lose it but I also knew that I had wanted to have another child, but with all that had been going on with my anxiety it had not been the right time. So with my anxiety in check I decided to put my weight loss on hold and give myself something even better. My youngest was born in July 2015.
After my third pregnancy I was 100% motivated to start my weightless journey. I had many friends who had great success with the 21 day fix and so I thought I would try. 6 weeks post partum I started my first round., after my second round and not seeing much for results I found myself frustrated and my motivation had diminished. I was not getting much sleep and my anxiety was starting to take control. I took a step back and focused on my mental health and getting my older to in school for the year and everyone settled into a routine.
Its now November and instead of focusing on what could have been, I am going to focus on what will be. I am back in the driver's seat and I am taking my first step forward. No more fad diet. Just me, myself, and my spark people app. I have done it this way before and I WILL do it again.
