Ready to live healthy!
I have been struggling with weight since junior high. As I got older, the problem only got worse. I hated the way I looked, and the way I felt in my own skin, but never could stick to a weight loss plan (not to mention that I had to focus on my studies first, and weight loss was just too overwhilming for me). The repeated unsuccesful attempts made me loose a great deal of self-esteem. Over time, I had become quite an emotional eater. Binge eating became a part of me, and I just didn't know how ...
I have been struggling with weight since junior high. As I got older, the problem only got worse. I hated the way I looked, and the way I felt in my own skin, but never could stick to a weight loss plan (not to mention that I had to focus on my studies first, and weight loss was just too overwhilming for me). The repeated unsuccesful attempts made me loose a great deal of self-esteem. Over time, I had become quite an emotional eater. Binge eating became a part of me, and I just didn't know how to get rid of it, how to stop obsessing about food, especially late night cravings. When I discovered SparkPeople, I had been working out 5-6 times a week for a few months and got rid of a few pounds, but the emotional eating was so frustrating: the more i wanted to avoid it, the more I ate, the more I ate, the more I hated myself and well, you know what this leads to: more binge eating! Finding SparkPeople happened at a time when I really needed guidance and support, and I'm sooo grateful that I did. I just love everything it offers, the teams, the trackers, the great articles, I even think I'm getting the SP fever. Anyway, one month after I joined SP, I already feel like a huge change happened in my life, and I am ready, more than ever, to tackle the everyday challenge of living healthier! I may be halfway to my goal weight, but I've just started my healthy life journey and I'm soo excited about it!
