Updated!

I just realized that when I started my SparkPage, my original plan was to train for a half marathon ... that was over a year ago. I didn't end up running the half. I got sick in the middle of training and then got lazy. Since then, I've started a new job and joined a new gym.

My workouts have been pretty consistent for the last 7 months. Unfortunately, my eating habits have not been. I have been using my workouts as an excuse to eat whatever I want.

We are hoping to start a family soon and I want to make sure I am in the best possible shape and at an ideal pre-baby weight. I am really scared about getting huge during pregnancy and not being able to lose the weight. I have seen my friends have babies and return to their normal weight pretty easily, but as I get older I figure that it will get harder and harder.

Some target areas I want to work are my butt, thighs, and hip area. Since turning 30, that has been my trouble area. I still fit into my jeans from 4-5 years ago, but they are much tighter in that area and no amount of stretching makes seems to make them comfortable again!

I've never really had to work that hard at maintaining my weight, but as I get older I really need to put in more effort.

My Goals:
- Better eating habits
- Getting my small sized butt back

Personal Information:
I'm a city girl living in Minneapolis. I live downtown with my DH and we love the city life. We are environmentally responsible and only have one car. We're both attorneys and are currently loving our jobs. Thank goodness.

Other Information:
I love Netflix, nonfat mochas, knitting, MTV, Top Chef, watching TV in bed, playing super competitive Scrabble, traveling, shopping, and going on vacation. I have approximately 150 pairs of shoes all organized in their own little clear plastic shoe boxes with a picture of each pasted on the outside. I love fashion and I shop waaay too much. I figure if I keep working out maybe I won't have time to shop. I care way too much what people think and worry way too much about what I'm wearing. I'm currently wanting some new yoga pants to go to my free yoga trial, but I know that is unecessary and I'm not going to buy any. ;)

Welcome to the EE team!!

Iíve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, itís a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

Check out the main page of the EE team- there are ďstickiedĒ topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post.

Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. Iíve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

You are- WONDERFUL-cuz youíre you!! ! BELIEVE IT!!! www.operationbeautiful-- END THE FAT TALK!!!

~~best of luck to you on all of your goals!!!

Welcome back. It is great to see you are setting goals for yourself. So smart to get to your goal before TTC. Wish I would have done that. :) Look forward to seeing your posts on the SparkMSP team.

emoticon Hi Nina, I was reading your spark page and was wondering how your training was going for your 1/2 marathon. I've been trying to do my training for the couch to 5K program. I was supposed to run a 5K last weekend but unfortunately things crept up and I didn't finish my training. So now my new goal is to do a 5K in the fall. Wishing you success with your running.

Max

Welcome to SP. It's a great site! Be sure and sign up for Spark America and when you set up your exercises, just remove any you can't do or don't want and put in those you do. Be sure and schedule a day for cardio so you have access to the "other exercises" page where the walking, housework, playing with children etc. are to be found. When you are done, set up your Appointment calendar to send you reminders and when they come, click on the link then fitness and just check them off as you do them. Such a great feature. Use your spark points page to help you use and learn all the fantastic tools we have at this site. Visit others pages and get to know them better. Again, welcome to a great site.
