You Can't Take the Sky From Me

I haven't updated this in a while so here goes. I started Spark People when I was approximately 175 pounds. I was 28 and recently divorced. I gained a lot of weight during my marriage due to being unhappy and depressed. Most of my time was spent either working two jobs or laying in bed hiding from the world.

I am 30 and I am down to 155 pounds. I am working one job, in therapy, and in great relationship with someone. I am making my life better but I still need to be healthier and ...

I am 30 and I am down to 155 pounds. I am working one job, in therapy, and in great relationship with someone. I am making my life better but I still need to be healthier and fitter. I still struggle with exercise and healthy eating. That's what I'm here for.

Goal Weight/Rewards
150 - Pedicure
145 - Leather pants
140 - Caribbean Cruise. It's booked for this November so I hope to make it to this weight.

Current Status:
NIMIRRA137 I am finally seeing 157 again on the scale! I'd been up to 160 the past couple of weeks. I hope I continue on the downward trend.

My Goals:
Even though my main goal is to lose weight I want also learn to like myself no matter what size I am.

I'd also love to do a mini-triathlon eventually.

Goal Weight 130
Run a 5k in 35 min

My Program:
I don't have set program just yet. I'm trying to just keep track of my calories and workout once or twice a week to start. I want to eventually work out 5 times a week but I know if I do put that pressure on myself I'll bail so I'm starting slow.

Live in Michigan, want to move south one day.

emoticon for commenting my blog! this new medication, Topamax, is primarily for migraines...the Lyrica helped stop my nerves from sending pain signals constantly. So right now, my nerves are just overly sensitized and I am struggling. I just was so hopeful because the dose for Lyrica that I was supposed to be on is $190 a month so I was only taking 1/2 and it wasnt doing enough, and this new stuff is only $5! but I guess you are right, I should just see if my doctor can get me in sooner because this is ridiculous. I am at my desk at work barely able to keep my head up because my neck hurts so badly.

I found the dog walking company through Care.com, and Craigslist had some other postings. Its been nice, but I don't have that many pups to take care of right now, so its not as much work as I was hoping for.
