Just Lose It

I am a 24-year-old preschool teacher in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I would like to get into better shape and be a healthier person overall. I would like to get into a better habit of exercising daily and making healthier choices overall. I also want to learn how to be a healthier cook and make more conscious choices for my family.

Here's hoping you never need to learn to live without it! It's easier for me because of how tired, foggy, and stuffed I felt when I was eating those kinds of foods. They tasted "wonderful", but I felt rotten later and used to take something each night to keep the acid reflux at bay... Once I realized how good I felt eating proteins, veggies/fruits, and healthy fats (as well as the added side effect of the weight loss), it became a much easier decision for me to pass on the bread!

In cooking healthier for you and your family you'll modify to their tastes, what you know is/isn't the healthiest option and help them find balance in their eating habits. Kudos to you - for taking an active stance in your families health...
