Healthy Living = A Beautiful Life

Hello all! In 2008 I was doing very well with my healthy living and I lost 30 pounds. By making simple, logical changes in my diet.
In July '08 everything went down hill & I didn't continue to my goal weight & I even gained a little back.

My Goals:
Most importantly I want to live a happy healthy life.

~Run at least three more 5K races in 2010

~Run the U of M 10K in October '10

~Some day run a marathon....We will see....lol

My Program:
Currently as of July '10, I am running for cardio training for my 10K in October.

I also plan on cross training on alternating days & weight training as well to develop some muscle tone.

Personal Information:
I graduated from ITT Tech in 2006 with my associates degree in applied science. I currently am a computer aided draftsman for a commercial roofing company. I basically draw their blueprints among a zillion other things. I enjoy gardening (when I have the time...), excercising (espcially spinning class), and making new friends.

"She's Come Undone" is a novel by Wally Lamb. It is by far one of the most incredible books I have ever read. I've read it at least six times now. It's pretty thick, but it will suck you in.

The book follows the life of Dolores -- from very young to adult -- through tragedy and triumph and even a little bit of time at a psych hospital. I don't know what it is about the book, but every time I'm done with it, I want more. I feel like she's a friend of mine and I need to know more of the story, what happened after she saw the whale...

I don't know how else to explain it, but ... it was one of Oprah's book club books, so I guess that stands for something? Haha.

HEY! Thanks for the warm welcome! Let me ponder the Walking Tracking buddy system over the weekend. That'll give me time to get my crap together in a more concrete way, haha.
