Life kind of got in my way recently and I've been MIA from SP for quite some time. Part was just avoidance - I wasn't doing what I needed to do and didn't feel I should be here to help others and in reality that just allowed me to hurt myself. So, summer is here for me and I'm revisiting my own goals and figuring out ways to reach them again.

My 10% goals:
SW: 326.5 lbs. March 2006
1st 10% - 293.5 ACHIEVED JUNE 2006
2nd 10% - 264.5 ACHIEVED APRIL 2008
3rd 10% - 238.5
4th 10% - 214.5
5th 10% - 193
6th 10% - 174
This is my goal weight. It's more than what's recommended for my height - but I want to see what that looks like and from there can decide if more weight loss would be ok, or if that's where my body wants to be.

My Goals:
These are goals I've reached.
March 2006 wt. 321.5 (though I started out at 326.5)
June 2006 lost 30 lbs
October 2006 down 55 lbs.
2007 stuck at 271 yup for a year up and down, but never past it.
March 2008 re-focused on myself, dedicated to moving past the plateau spent more time on SP, joined a challenge:
April 2008 lost 11 lbs (was back up to 275), now down to 264 that was my 2nd 10% goal! Woohoo!!
May 2008 down to 260
June 25, 2008 size 18!!!
August 1, 2008 - 257.2!!



My Program:
Right now I'm not doing much of anything - so I need to change that! I was working out at least 3 x's a week - and since September it's only been my upper body with a small amount of cardio b/c of the knee injuries. And it will continue that way for now - I'm not sure when I'll be back to working out - on crutches for a month - will be doing rehab so I will have to see how that goes.



Personal Information:
I consider myself a displaced northerner here in the good old south! I spent most of my life in the north and have been here in Chattanooga for 8 years. I've been married for almost 7 of those. My hubby, Jay, have a dog named Sage who is our baby! I am a teacher of 3rd graders - and I love it!


Other Information:
I love spending time reading, drawing or coloring, crocheting, scrapbooking -really anything crafty that strikes my fancy at that moment, being outdoors, and of course spending my time with my hubby. I miss my family tremendously and talk to them everyday!

    Howdy! How are you doing?

    Just wanted to say Hi and see how things are doing.

    I am doing good except my knees are acting up and I have a 9K race this Sunday. My first race since my surgery last year. (Aug 09) I thought I would be fine when signed up over a month ago my the paid started in last week and has been getting stronger by the day.

    What am I going to do? I made appt. for next Monday to see my surgeon for a check up. I need to figure out what to do to keep them healthy. I don't have time to go to PT either. Can we say frustrating?

    I am walking with mild amounts of jogging for my Tuesday/ Thursday class and have cut back on most of my other activities. Plus we do lunges and squats with every class so they should be getting stronger not damaged. Not fun. I feel like an old lady. :( Guess I won't be adding kick boxing to the mix.
