I am changing my old food and exercise habits in order to honor God, to make choices that are pleasing to him, and take care of the body he has given me. This page is called "Losing Gracefully" because I can only accomplish my goals by resting on the grace of power of the Holy Spirit.

Last summer, after losing 50 pounds, I accomplished something I never thought I could do - I completed a triathlon! But after that I realized that I had done it by relying on my own strength rather than God's. I hadn't even considered how he might want me to approach my weight loss goals. Since then, I've been trying to rethink everything and put myself in a more God-centered frame of mind.

Fitness Minutes: 322

My Goals:
I want to be a size 12!! I have never been a size 12 in my adult life, so that would be an awesome achievement. I started at a size 26, so getting to 12 would mean going down 7 dress sizes. It doesn't matter to me how much I weigh when I get to size 12, but I have a guess as to how much I have to lose to get there.


My Program:
I just joined the gym!! I will update this section once I have a specific workout routine or goal established (like minutes per week, or number of workouts per week).

As for diet, I am moving to a whole foods diet based mostly on fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, seafood, legumes, and gluten-free grains like rice and quinoa. I am still going to reserve a space for some small treats so I don't go crazy!

I have celiac disease so I am on a gluten-free diet. Unfortunately, that doesn't automatically make it a healthy diet which is what I'm trying to change!
