2014 here I come!!

Time to update!!!!

A bit about me: I have several jobs, as the market where I live is very slow, like many are!! I first and foremost am a Mom...my favorite job!! I have 3 grown kids..but they will always be my kids no matter how old they are!

I own a small custom bakery, which is across the street from my home. I specialize in wedding and celebration cakes and you can often see a picture of one posted on my blog!


Then comes the horse show ...
Time to update!!!!

Then comes the horse show announcing..I do this mostly for fun..I grew up with horses, my daughter showed for years and we had quarter horses, and I have one of those voices, so there you have it!!!

I had a knee replacement last march with major complications, and its been a long haul coming back. It will never be fully ok, but we do with what we are dealt, right?

I have several goals for this year..to lose 25 pounds, walk without limping, and walk increasingly farther. At this point i'm up to 10 thousand steps a day..spproximately 5 miles.

I won't give up!!!

My Goals:
exercise: shooting for 120 mins a day. EVERY DAY.
Add weights 4 days a week along with the cardio and toning. At this point i was only doing them 3 days a week.
Work on making food LOW priority instead of thinking about it constantly.

My Program:
Thanks to my great significant other, I have a Bodybugg! What a great tool to help me reach my goals.
I'm finding out i can NOT eat the amount of points WW allots to me OR the amount of cals Sparkpeople says i can and still lose weight. So i'm tweaking, trying to find the optimum.

Personal Information:
ok here goes:
I am first and foremost a Mom. My 3 grown kids are so important to me!
I have a great significant other, Kevin, 4 cats and a chihuahua. someday i will get a REAL dog again (Chico is too little to be real!)
I have several jobs: I own and operate a bakery, I'm a substitute teacher grades k-12 any class, and i'm a horse show announcer. I am involved with my alma mater on the alumni board of directors.


Other Information:
I love all things Harry Potter, am a proud DHOH for Hufflepuff House on our team here.
I love to read...currently on the last book of the Twilight series. Love movies, Classic Rock and some Country for music.
I love to swim and hike, love the snow, hate hot weather unless i'm near water i can BE IN.
ok i'm done!

Thanks for the blog comment. I concur about the amount of calories. I usually take in about 1700 - 2000 calories per day, but this week was so upside down that no matter how many calories I took in I would be up on the scale. So the 1200 calories thing was more for perspective than a true representation of what I eat in a day :)

I wish I could lose 5 lbs right about now, then another 5 lbs next week and another 5 the week after that. That would put me back to where I was a year ago!

Just when you think you have something about your body figured out, it goes and does something completely different. It is so frustrating!!
