A New Beginning...

My name is Nicole. I am 24 years old. I just recently got married on June 12, 2010. It has been a long road on this weight loss journey, but I WILL get there! I just have to keep my head held high and keep going. Giving up is not an option!

My Goals:
I would like to lose a total of 60 pounds and be able to run a 5K someday!

Short Term Goals

*Eat cleaner and healthier.

*Weigh and track all of my food

*Exercise 5 times a week (cardio)

*ST 2 times a week

*Eating out only once a week

*Soda only once every other day

*LOTS and LOTS of water!!!

*Couch to 5K program starting 9-19-10

Personal Information:
I am from Kansas City, MO. I have recently gotten married and have 2 little doggies that I love dearly. I am really happy with my life and would like to be happy with my body as well!

Thanks for stopping by my page and asking about Door to Door Organics. This week was week #2 for me and I'm still enjoying it. Funny story: my initial order had 2 bananas listed, but I got 10 bananas this week (at no extra charge). emoticon I like this box because I get a chance of trying new foods (like purple potatoes this week!) and because it's all organic, the food tends to last longer. I also like that I can substitute food out if I just *DON'T* like something (DH & I can't stand celery) and we can chose something else. Oh, and I also like that fact that you can do every other week instead of every week as well. I'm still happy.

I started out by making a goal plan. I decided that I'm going to exercise 40-60 minutes a day each week. So, on my monthly calendar, I wrote in exactly what days I will be doing what (I have set days that I do my boxing/kickboxing classes). I also have a goal of active rest, so on the days i'm not at my boxing classes, I will be doing a 20 min HIIT followed by a 20 minute steady state cardio session. I also noted on my calendar any special days coming up (particularly birthdays) to ensure that I budget my "cheat" meals appropriately.

For food plan, i basically have the same breakfast routine (either eggs or oatmeal) so I just rotate that every other week. For hot meals, I tend to batch cook. So, I'm using just one cookbook and batch cooking at least 3 dishes a week. I wrote out exactly what dishes they will be. I am eating hot meals at lunch since i'm keeping it simple and low carb after 3pm. So, my dinners are going to rotate between grilled chicken or fish (most likely salmon) & some dark green veggie on the side. For the snacks, I just listed out a couple staple items I tend to gravitate towards or foods that I have at the house that need to be eaten.
