June '08- (185) I was gaining weight not loosing because I had just quit b'feeding. Bad timing!




10.3.09- (150) It fits! Met my first major goal... fit in the old wedding dress (and normal BMI).

I met a major weight loss goal, made it to 150, but plateaued badly. I maintained the weight loss for a short while but gained about 15 lbs. back. I am no longer trying to actively lose weight because I am pregnant... due June 2011. I'll continue to monitor what I eat and exercise so hopefully I won't gain a ton!

I have been on this weight loss roller coaster since having my daughter in 2002. After I had her, I lost the weight right away, but ended up gaining 40 lbs. in 2 months after I stopped breastfeeding. I was also diagnosed with crohn's (though it took 2 years to figure out). The combo is what sent my weight spiraling out of control.

In the past, I've had so much trouble with my weight loss dropping maybe 10-15, but then plateau. Dieting would work for me for about 3 months, then I'd get stuck.

I hope I can win this battle once and for all. I would LOVE to lose it before I turn 30. I'd hate to think I wasted all of my 20's overweight.

Some reasons why I'm losing weight:

-To be heart and lung healthy
-To be able to RUN a mile, maybe even 5
-To have muscle tone
-To feel more comfortable in my skin
-To feel like my old self, I'm tired of the new self
-To feel sexy in general and for hubby
-To be a better role model for my kids
-To fit into my new motivation clothes and my old skinny clothes
-To be able to take pictures of myself again AND like them!!!


My Program:
Good 'ol diet and exercise....

1200-1500 calories a day

Jillian Michael's "Shred" work out vid on In Demand.

Work out at the Y 3x a week.

    I'm sooo stoked to finally have a friend on sparkpeople that I actually KNOW! Girl, I had no idea you were ever overweight. I know you said you'd been dieting but I figured you just needed to lose 10 pounds. I'm so inspired by you! Do you spend muuch time on sparkpeople now that you've lost the weight?     hey, Nicole, i'll check out that website too. no, i've been pretty good about my calories, but my exercising is pretty much nil. i did do some leg lifts and such yesterday morning. it's a good thing i have so many stairs in my house or i'd get no exercise at all. wonder if i can count all my trips up and down as some of my fitness! laundry time is always good for a workout, carrying full baskets up and down those 3 flights of stairs! anyways, can you believe Chris has only been watching his calories for a week now and he has already lost 6 pounds!? how is that fair? guys... i haven't weighed because i don't have immediate access to a scale. i don't even know if my start weight was correct, i haven't weighed in months! have you had trouble with SP's nutrtion tracker? i haven't been able to log in my food for 2 days. anyways, i'll see you tomorrow night! enjoy your day off!
