Wow, thanks for the supportive comments. I am so glad you are here, aside from the accident I can totally relate. Your list of fears and desires... I am right there with you. I started out 5'6 and 175 on April 15, 2008. I have used the tools on this site to make all these awesome changes in my life, my habits and my outlook. I dont hate me anymore, I feel good inside, I dont worry about people staring at how fat I am. me me me,sorry its just that I feel ~singing my life with your words~ You can totally do this too. You will do this cuz you are ready, you are here and SP will help you do it right. Track your nutrition, even on naughty days so you can look back and see how it affected you, write notes to remember how you felt when you did good or not. Track your fitness, find just one thing you like to do and start small. Then add a tiny bit more and a tiny bit more and before you know it you will be amazed at what you never knew you were capable of!
