Nicole's 17 Seconds

I am here to make the most of my life. I want to be healthy, active and connected to friends and family. I love my dogs and am excited about the time I get to spend bonding with them as we walk our way back to our leaner selves.
My profile picture is from 2009, when I was in shape. I walked 26 miles over 2 days in the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It took a lot of training and determination, and it was a wonderful experience. I chose this picture as my ...

I chose this picture as my profile pic so that I would see it every day and know that I can be successful at anything I put my mind to.

Need to blog and don't know where to start? Just start...you'll be surprised at how it all rolls out. I never know what I am going to write when I start a blog...and it just all comes out. It's kind of funny...I think I know more about what is really going on in my head AFTER I have blogged...because I can read what's rolling around in there. Spark on! emoticon

Hi thanks for stopping by my blog. In my garden now is: borage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprout, radish, carrot, beet, swiss chard, fava beans, parsley, watercress, cabbage (but not harvested now), fennel, dill, thyme, oregano, rosemary, marjaram, sage, lemon, lime... I think I got everything LOL.

My summer list is longer. I have planned out my planting areas. I'll have just about everything. And with my new greenhouse, I'll be able to grow everything from seed. I don't like to buy seedlings - there are root bounds so often even from the nursery. And if they aren't root bound, they are grown for showy leaf growth not for veggie production and aren't easily retrained.

Thanks Nicole :) Hopefully we both reach our goals. I will try to get my mom on here as well. Congrats on walking 10 days in a row now! emoticon
