Senior prom, 2007 - my first goal weight: get back to the weight I was before college
Lucky for me I carry a significant amount of my weight on my chest!
I gained even more weight than I had thought in my last year at college. I was student teaching, which left me very stressed and caring very little about what foods I ate. Also because of the stress, I started eating MORE to comfort myself. That year, I gained BACK the 20 pounds that I had lost the year before AND even more.
I want to lose this college weight to feel better about myself, lessen the strain my weight puts on my joints (like my back and knees), and get thinner for when I get married sometime in the not-too-distant future!
I told my boyfriend that I want to be at a happy weight when I get married. Working back from there, I don't want to be engaged for more than a year, and I don't want to add to the stress of that year by having to lose a lot of weight, so essentially I want to lose most of the weight (at least 70lbs) before I want him to propose! So right now that's my long-term motivation.
- To be (first) a size 12 and then a size 8 (or less!)
- To look good in my (future) wedding dress
- To feel comfortable wearing shorts
- To look good in simple clothes, like a white tank top and jeans
- To possibly wear heels without (horrible) pain?
- To be (ONLY) a DD or D cup again
245lbs - 6/30/12
Lose 20lbs (230) - buy 1-2 new pairs of jeans
Lose 35lbs (215) - buy a new purse
Lose 40lbs (210) - wear my Biggest Loser t-shirt & have someone take photos
Lose 50lbs (200) - buy a new pair of jeans; celebratory dinner w/ bf
Lose 75lbs (175) - SHOPPING, haircut/style, and photo shoot
Lose 100lbs (150) - throw a party! If not engaged yet, get
Exercise once, if not twice, a day at least 6 times a week using my elliptical, treadmill, and exercise dvds
Make better food choices. Count calories. Remember not to let the desire for food cloud the desire to lose weight.
I just graduated college and am a certified music teacher in both PA and NJ. Though I don't have a full-time teaching job, I am actively searching for one while teaching private lessons in my area.
I gained a lot of weight in college, my senior year especially, and I really want to get back to at least what I weighed in high school (170s).
One of my troubles with exercising is that I can't do anything high-impact because of my large bust and sensitive joints. Thankfully my parents and I got an elliptical for a cheap price off of ebay, so I can do that. I've also learned/figured out ways to modify high-impact exercises (like jumping jacks) so that I can keep moving without straining my joints.

Noooooooo :( My sister has invited me to Pinterest but I didn't know if I needed a new addiction. LOL I have a Facebook Health & Fitness community page that I run and am on there all the time and "like" a lot of other motivational things on there, so.. I get a lot of goods there. Think I should join Pinterest? Hmmm...

Wow, great plan for the free week here and there and chat with the nutritionist! Awesome. I found that the more "core" work I do, the less pain and strain I have in my back :) Hopefully your pool stuff works out and you can find something you love to do (for not so much money, too!). Rockin' plan!

We do seem to have a crazy amount in common - only you inhabit the Northern Hemisphere, and I the Southern :P I'd swap for you for a spring/summer day right now actually!!
Thank you for the comment on my page and the friend add - I've had a rollercoaster last few months and I figured joining an active team would help me along and it already has!! Hope you're having a great day and walking on sunshine!
