I am married to a wonderful youth minister and have an amazing autistic son!

I began my SP journey in 2010 at 180 pounds.

I have been on again off again since then and the weight has been up and down. When the weight is up, I am down and discouraged. I get mad at myself and think I'm failing. When my weight is down, I am all good and the sun shines on me.

I used to be really down about losing control of my weight and eating again. Since I am here again, 2016 at 180, I have noticed I am learning. I am learning when I am full what it actually feels like, what my body does to signal me, and what I need to do with the rest of the food on my plate.

I have learned that life is up and life is down by my God is bigger than anything I can ever feel about myself.

I have learned that this is more than just a number on the scale or size of my pants. This is a life journey, a changed-life journey. One that takes more than a couple tries to make it stick. This is something I need to do to be healthier and have a better quality of life.

With God's leading I can do anything. I will get off my medications and I will be in a "normal" weight range.

God didn't make me fat, I chose to eat that!

UPDATE!!
Today is almost 3 months from my re-joining SP! I have met my first goal!
Goal #1: weight 160. Met: 2/12/12! I lost that in 8 weeks!
Goal #2: wight 140. Currently working towards that!

UPDATE!!
Two years after the last update and I'm 180. Here I go again. 2014

UPDATE!!
It's now September 2015 and I am beginning again. 180 in July.
9/8/2015 170 pounds. Tracking food, tracking fitness, doing 10 every day.


UPDATE!
It's now Jan 2017 and I began this journey in Nov at 179. A smaller goal is to lose 10 pounds by March 7, 2017. Then I'll go another 10, and another 10, and another, etc until I'm cleared and can go off my medication.

My Goals:
I'm 40 something and need to be in better condition and lower triglycerides.

Long term:
Get to 140 pounds by my birthday 2016. (see new goals under update)

Short term:
Eat healthier and track intake.
Spend more time being active a day, at least 10, and track it.
GO OUTSIDE!!

End all be all:
Feel and look healthier.
Lower cholesterol
Set a good example to my family.


My Program:
Program:
SparkPeople calorie intake guidelines.
Walk 5 miles or more a week.
Get out into the Red Rock/Sedona area of my neighborhood.
Be active, 10 minutes a day, doing whatever makes me happy.



Personal Information:
I live in Arizona now. Have been married since 1991 and have a son with autism.
I was homeschooling him and he's now in public school. That is an answer to my prayers and better for my health. He did not like going outside, and I LOVE going outside!
I work for God in everything I do and my health should not be left out!


Other Information:
Whew! My days are busy!

I read my Bible and find strength and encouragement in it. I have a bestie friend who has a heart condition and understands.
