newbie trying to eat right

I can't believe how hard it is to eat right on a budget. I can't get enough potassium and magnesium! I have no problem limiting my caloric intake but at some point nutrition needs to get better.

I have to watch my potassium because it is naturally high. The doctor told me Cantalopes are very high in potassium. Plus they are good for you. :) Spinach is too.

Bananas are pretty cheap in my area 49 cent a pound when NOT on sale. That's a good way to get potassium.

Yes crockpots are wonderful, I use mine to cook dried beans instead of buying canned. Then I freeze in containers and can grab out when I need beans

I hear that, eating right on a budget can be tough. Look for deals, try out farmer's markets. Also I hear crock pots are amazing, i'm working my way towards one :D
