Finding the person I want to be.

My story is the same as most others. I was a chubby child, big boned teen, mostly a big boned young adult until about 22 yrs.old. I found my prince and we were blessed with a child. I kept some of that weight and added to it over the next few years until I hit my heaviest weight of 313. Off to the doctor I go. He decided to put me on phentermine. I must say I was very successful on this medication. I stopped thinking about food(is that even possible??) I was hitting the gym hard. I'd lost over 90 lbs. in a year!! Well.... I stopped the medication, and gradually gained every ounce of that weight back. Problem is I did the working out, but I didn't learn to eat properly. This is still the biggest struggle for me. Yeah sure I know what I'm suppose to be eating, but I want quick, fast, easy... and unfortunately that's usually junk. So... here I am. I want to be more accountable for the food I put in my mouth, and getting in my workouts. I want to do things that I've been afraid to try. I don't want my weight holding me back from the person I want to be!

I joined a gym
I've met with a personal trainer, and we have set a program for me.
I've tried several different group fitness classes.
I do Jiu Jitsu one day a week. (Love it!!)
I've been drinking more water. Now to start eating healthier.. this ones a tough one for me... any suggestions???

Happy Sunday. Hope you're summer is going great. Are you still on track to do all you can today to reach your goals tomorrow? If so, great! If not, what can you change today that will help you feel accomplished? One little thing. Drink more water? Cut out soda? Go for a walk? Small changes add up.
