I started working with Spark several years ago but fell off the wagon when my knees simply gave out on me. Now, after double knee replacement and a year of physical therapy I feel whole once again! I am ready to work on this and get back to an even healthier state of mind!

My Goals:
5% Challenge Goals

1. Eat more protein,cook whole foods, and eliminate snacks.
2. Walk at least 30 minutes every day.
3. Three days a week of strength training.
4. Zumba Gold class weekly.


My Program:
I am working with a metabolic diet that eliminates processed sugar and artificial sweeteners except for stevia. My diet is heavy in protein and freggies and started at only 500 calories a day. I am now up to about 1000 calories a day and will increase as I build up my exercise program.

Personal Information:
I am a professor, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I live in Indiana, and love to travel the world. I have worked hard all my life and now am taking the time to slow things down and enjoy myself!

Other Information:
Aging is for the birds! I refuse to age gracefully! I intend to go kicking and screaming!

Hi D thanks see much for explaining to me what is happening for the diet. WE have a member who also has the one beginning with H. I'm on my tablet,,, I can't go back my page or I'll lose this. Her name is Julie,, Its_my_timt_now. She has been a leader in the past. Both as an EL than promoted to the WL,,,Extra leader,,Weigh In Leader. I'm going to let Julie know you have it,,,, it's wonderful when team members can be an added support.

What kinda of restrictions are you going to do???? Have you read the book "The Spark"? It explains this program. I started to make rapid progress once I had. U can find it on any e-book site,,,,also if you don't mark it up some libraries carry it. I use Amazon mostly. I'm a Prime member so I usually get what I order with free shipping. With Prime I can listen to a TON music free,,,,read books free...and some other things.

With emotional eating,,first step is to recognize if you are eating when truly hungry. Distract yourself for 10-15 minutes. If you can eat ANYTHING,,,, not just sweets,,,,than YES you are hungry. If though u want just one or two specific type,,usually junk type than its a craving which you may wish to skip. Also of interest is if you had eaten a little earlier ,,,and feel starving,,,chances are you are probably thirsty. Try water first.

TY Hon for the kind, outbuildings words!!! With 4 out of 6 leaders being ill,,,,, we have all become determined to lose the weight and for the ones who can,,, build up their exercise. Amy and Cheri both are Super Dawggies!! AMAZING!!

We draw much strength from you all!! Leaders can make suggestions etc,,,but it's the entire team who make us the winning team we are!!
