I want this page to be a testament of what the Lord can do, and how a life can be changed with His help and with the help of others.

I came to this site some years ago and thought I would try it. When I say thought I mean I was all about getting the points and not about actually doing anything to build a better me-mind, heart, soul and body. I was silly. I thought that I was doing well the more points I got, but really I was fooling myself. I wasn’t ready to do what it was I had to do. I was procrastinating while attempting to make myself believe I wasn’t. Eventually I quit and went about my business, gaining twenty extra pounds since that time.

A new day arrived for me, not only because the doctor said I had to lose the weight or face diabetes and the other host of problems I am genetically predisposed to, but because my life was blessed in the mot amazing way. The Lord gave to me the man I asked for, and blessed us both with a wonderful child, and suddenly my life was changed. God had been working in me, drawing me closer to him than ever before, but the day that little life came into this world from my body, was the day I knew everything about how I felt and saw myself had to change.

All my life I was big and people had to tell me about it. I had the lowest of low self-esteem, which caused me to end up a bad relationship that left me bruised and even more belittled. Thankfully, the Lord rescued me from that and gave me strength to stand on my own. I was more discerning after that and eventually the Lord called me to be on my own for three years while He transformed the person I was into the person He intends for me to be. I’m not there yet, by no means has His work been completed in me. At the end of those years He spoke to me and told me to prepare, sadly I thought I had more time than I did. I was married and pregnant a few months later and I felt the pressures build up against me again. I gained weight, but when I developed gestational diabetes I knew I had to keep it down for the sake of the gift that was growing inside me. I kept that weight down for those months and when my son was born, I weight less than when I was first pregnant. The weight stayed down and I stayed connected to God as I breastfed and cared for my child, but the day he stopped the weight went sky high.

I knew in my heart that things had to change and then I remembered this site. I found my way back here and that was it. I signed up and started going and I haven’t looked back. I find strength in the site and have met some amazing people here. God has connected me with some wonderful people who share my faith and love of the Lord and fantastic inspiration.

So this is it, the beginning of a journey that I look forward to sharing with all of you.

To God be the glory. Get up and shout! Dance for the Lord because a new me is being birthed in Him.
