Hi my name is Jen, I thought it best to update the profile! LIke most people here I have been struggling with weight for a while. I am trying to find a balance but tired of the struggle. I know what to do, what to eat and how to make this happen so now is the time to do it. I am not spending any more funds on programs, or fixes for this. I have what I need, but I mostly just need to keep moving forward and making good choices. I am a single mom of two boys. Both are in college and still living at home, which has its own challenges. I have a good job, a hot fiance and great friends. The last piece of the puzzle is me getting my shiz together and getting this weight off. I so want to see what I look and feel like without it.


Here is the plan:
Currently taking walkfit, kickboxing and belly dancing classes. I plan on adding 2-3 workouts to it depending how I feel. (all of the classes involve strength training so I dont want to overtrain, but plan on listening to my body.
Tools:
Home sutff: Treadmill, free weights, P90X, Chalean Extreme, Turbo fire, Turbo Jam, Zumba and tons of other dvd's. Wii fit, park across the street and nice city park too.
Gym: city rec center with lots of classes and all the other tools I need to get it done.
Spark People: Log food daily-even when it is over the limit.
Do not reduce food intake if I over eat the previous day, and do not reduce intake in preparation for an event...i've learned both of these start a slippery slope.
Other goals:
Working on decluttering and simplifying home-
Visualizing my strong healthy body

My Goals:
-Visualize my goals daily-feel the strength of my new body, feel the confidence and happiness
-Eat a cleaner diet
-Killer arms by end of the year
-Enjoy looking good in all my smaller clothes
-Reduce alcohol consumption
-Ideally loose 40-60 lbs this year
-Declutter my home and retain good cleaning habits


My Program:
3-Group training classes a week.
3-5 hours of additional aerobic activity weekly
Log food daily-even when it is not good
Do not cut back on food after a bad day or before an event-this leads to a slippery slope.

Originally from Chicago, after leaving the service am now in SE Michigan. A beautiful state going thru a rough time right now.

    I've done many rounds of CE. It's my favourite programme by far, though I'm in love with p90x3 right now.

    My advice regarding CE is:
    use the tracker sheets.
    really.
    each time.
    Push to true failure -- where you can't do another lift if somebody said they'd give you 1,000,000 dollars.
    Get enough protein (for me that's ALWAYS more than 1g of protein for every pound that I weigh).

    And that's it! Oh, also take measurements monthly with each phase change. It's motivating!

    You'll see from my page, I lost no weight but lost inches and sizes galore.

    Thanks for the comment on my status update about me not liking how I look in my Christmas party photos. It truly is a big slap of reality check right in the face! Time to get back at it. We want to take a trip to Hawaii some time this year and I am NOT bringing this ugly fat body with me!

    We can do it girl. I read your goals and they are much like mine... only I have not updated it yet... coming soon.... :)
