Hello, my name is Deborah and I recently married (Jan08) to my wonderful husband. I also have a three year old step-daughter. I used to be very health conscious, well, I still am, but I'm not walking the talk, so-to-speak. I feel miserable, physically. I wake up wondering how I let myself go. I'm constantly coming up with excuses why I did let go and why I can't do much about it now. Not that these next few statements are excuses, they play a role of my excuses; I work full-time, get home & make dinner, get my step-daughter ready for bed, clean up, etc. So, I have a pretty full day and I need to make time to take care of myself. As far as I feel...I just feel fat and bloated all the time. It's depressing putting on my work clothes knowing they don't fit anymore. I don't have anymore weekend clothes really for the same reason, so I have the frumpy look. But I will vow to take care of myself and make myself look decent (hair done/makeup) despite what little clothes I have that fit; anything to make me feel better. Well, I joined SP once before and didn't keep up with it. I think this time I finally fell to the bottom of the hole to make myself want to climb out for good!!! I will also vow to bring this matter to the Lord. I believe He will help me get to where I need to be....healthier, better self-esteem...if I just ask Him. Prayer works!!!! If it didn't...I wouldn't be here. So, not only through prayer, but proper eating and exercise (which I love to do--just can't make the excuse of not having time), I will reach my goals.

My Goals:
To not focus on the whole amount of pounds I want to lose, but a fraction at a time.

To look and feel better firstly for myself and then for my husband.

Stop making excuses!!!

Track what I eat.

Not eat what my co-workers bring it to the office.

    Hey Deborah,
    I logged online and there was a SP mail with pics of new members. I immediately thought - man, that lady looks like Deborah. Then I noticed the name, then I noticed the little girl. Well, DUH! Welcome back to SP - I haven't done much lately eitherand I need to be tracking my food too. You can do it -- don't become your mother like I did mine. It's not too late for me to change, and it's certainly not too late for you to change and be healthy, energized, and gorgeous!!
