Hi Cat, have had some major problems with my hip for the last 8 months, resulting in physio appointments and advice to take things very easy until I could walk properly again. Now back on the mend, walking is allegedly the best exercise but I am now so unfit about 30 minutes is the most I can manage on even ground. Having said that I don't have the option of restarting thru Curves as they have closed the Portsmouth gym, so have now joined up at the Mountbatten Centre. Not so easy but I need to do something and before August ( when we go on holiday to the Baltic) as there are several walking tours we have booked. Have had a sad couple of months, in March we had to say goodbye to Barlow, just 5 weeks shy of his 15th birthday, his legs wouldn't work properly and he kept falling over. Then within a week Stan was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, only treatment was to take him home, love him and bring him back when he tells you it's time, which was just 4 weeks later. So within a space of 8 weeks we find ourselves with just one dog, Tilly, and one cat, Nancy. House seems very quiet now buy we are getting used to it slowly and the animals are developing into different characters now they don't have their other halves to worry about. Will have to get into the swing of Spark again, there doesn't seem to have been much point when movement was so restricted.

Hi Cat, how are you doing, have just about made time to get on line and log recently, have had a couple of falls and colds etc so kinda lost heart. I am back now and I desperately need to get back on track and lose some weight before our cruise at the end of March (I believe they are disastrous on the waist line).
Spare time is at a premium now as we are having to walk the dogs seperately, Barlow has to have 2 x 15 minutes walk (on a lead) and is also having hydrotherapy for his arthritis whereas Tilly can do as she pleases and runs around like an idiot all the time. So it is better for him to go on his own so he doesn't get tempted to run around with her.
What with birthdays and christmas as well it really didn't make for a lot of computer time. Still I'm back and have started running again and hopefully the upcoming cricket season won't impact on that too much.
See you in the Hogs Lodge soon, maybe we could get a couple of our other 59 members in there too!!
