I just ran my first marathon!!!! in 4:40--- goal for next year: 4hrs!

I have somehow lost what was once so precious to me--- my fitness, and am about to jumpstart a new fitness routine... an intense 12 week bootcamp workout plan, so that I can lose the 35 lbs I have put on over the past year.

I am about to kick off a bootcamp of 12 weeks..... then to transition to consistent everyday exercise.... Here we go!

My Goals:
my goals are pretty simple... eat better, keep track of what I should be eating, get more active and keep lovin' life :)

Goals: 2 lbs/week!

Run 5-6x per week
Weights 4x/week

HW: 145
CW: 145
Short term goal:

11/25: 135
12/30: 125
1/27: 115
2/17:110

My Program:
Start tracking everything! Chew gum while cooking--- I love to pick at what I am making--- Argh!!!

Calorie range: 1100-1200
Bootcamp for twelve weeks:
Cardiovascular Workouts
Six mornings a week: Forty-five minutes of aerobic exercise, including at least two of the following: power walking on a graded treadmill (up to 10 percent), jogging, elliptical exercise, stair-stepping or rowing.

Four or five evenings a week (before dinner): A 20-minute workout using one of the above exercises.

Once a week: On a day with no strength training: replaced your usual aerobic exercise with a 75-minute run.

Strength Training
Four or five times a week: Thirty to 40 minutes of strength training, usually two days in a row, followed by a day off. Some preferred to train before their aerobic workout. Warm-up: a 15-minute power walk.

Personal Information:
I like to think of myself as a work in progress, in the best sense. I love being simple yet complex, serious yet light-hearted... the duality between the trivial and esoteric qualities of life intrigues and captivates my imagination. I consider myself as optimist with a streak of realism. Traveling is my true passion as I seek out the road not traveled, be it strolling through the streets of Calcutta or perched ontop the Mayan ruins overlooking Guatemala or camping out in Kenya... I look to others as my great teachers and am constantly learning. anyhow, looking to stay in touch with friends and meet some new ones...

Other Information:
I am a fun gal, working crazy hours (80-90/week); trying to keep my head on straight, and my senses on cue.

i love to play outside, eat spicy food, surprises, chunky squirrels in the winter, being in the company of those i love, wool socks, a new pair of running shoes, an old pair of running shoes, hummus, conversations that make me think, people who speak their mind, a great glass of wine, playing in the rain, the sound right after it snows, traveling to far away places, rediscovering my own backyard, the northwest, nyc, not overly demanding friends, oil paint and canvas with a free afternoon, waking up to the sun and not an annoying alarm clock, my favorite pair of levi's, my pop's homemade apple pie, watching him make it, taking walks with my mum, family, the smell of new books (yeah, i know that makes me a nerd), recognizing that there is a whole lot more love in this world than there is hatred...
