Journey to a new me.

I am a stay at home mom to the most wonderful little girl I could ever ask for and I have a very loving husband. I have been struggling with my weight since I was a junior in high school and not had much luck getting it to come off. I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance in 2005, which seems like it makes it harder to lose the weight. I have tried just about every diet possible, bought many cookbooks and informative books, just to fail continuously. I am now 100 plus pounds overweight ...

I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance in 2005, which seems like it makes it harder to lose the weight. I have tried just about every diet possible, bought many cookbooks and informative books, just to fail continuously. I am now 100 plus pounds overweight and so ashamed of myself. It does seem that no matter how hard I try I can't lose the weight, not even a little and then I get discouraged when the numbers on the scale don't drop. I don't have a very big support system and I'm so happy that I've found Sparkpeople. I am a returning sparker as I became a member back in 2006 after finding out about it in Woman's World magazine. I couldn't believe that there was something so amazing out there for FREE! Sadly I never followed through with it like I should have. I am ready to make the commitment so that I can be healthier and happier but I do need that extra nudge. I have very low self esteem and feel like it's impossible for me to accomplish anything that I set my mind to. I'm hoping this time around I will lose the weight and meet many new friends along the way.

My Goals:
I plan to lose 125 pounds and be a healthier happier me. I plan on eating healthier, exercising and cutting out the caffeine and cola.

My Program:
I am staying within a 1200-1500 calorie range, drinking a lot more water than ever before and will be adding different types of exercise into my daily routines.
