My weight problem began in my 30s. I have always eaten a lot, even as a child, but was very active and I never had a problem until I reached my 30s, then I gained about 60 pounds in just a few years. I felt like my body had betrayed me!

I have tried numerous diets and weight loss programs over the past 20 years and if I had all the money back that I have thrown away on weight loss - I could probably buy a small yacht!

I have tried numerous diets and weight loss programs over the past 20 years and if I had all the money back that I have thrown away on weight loss - I could probably buy a small yacht!

When I found SparkPeople, I was about to spend MORE MONEY and sign up for yet another program on the internet. On a whim, I stopped in mid-sign-up mode (just before I put in my credit card number!) and Googled "free weight loss website" and found SparkPeople. From the start, I literally felt like I had come home. If you are reading these words, you probably know what I mean by that.

I believe that this year, with this amazing tool, I can achieve the health and fitness I desire. This amazing tool is YOU - all of YOU - a community so open and accepting and supportive, from literally all walks of life. I started to say that you have no idea how much just a little message posted can do to motivate, but then I guess you do have an idea - that's why we are all here. WE ROCK!

I saw your question on knee replacement so felt compelled to respond. I had a knee replacement done in 2009 and it was the best thing I could have done. The pain before the replacement was so terrible at times that the pain afterward was a snap. The rehab was not terrible but honestly I have been in physical therapy for three years so it was just a continuation. today a year and three months later and my knee is pain free, I can walk easily and exercise as well.
When A doc is telling you to wait tell him to trade places. Perhaps you will want to find someone more supportive. Believe me it is a remarkable surgery.

Hey there, how's everything going? I haven't been on in a while so I have a lot of catching up to do. Have you been camping a lot so far? We are going out for our third trip this weekend. I can't seem to get enough of the lake! It's just going to be a weekend thing this time. Once spring arrived, I've been practically living outdoors and haven't taken the time to check in. I'm still on track but haven't really dropped any more weight. But at least I'm not gaining, even with all the campfire hotdogs and smores! Hope all is well. Talk to you soon. God Bless

You are so thoughtful! And you have a great memory! Daffie's eye has healed, although, it is a funky color because she is developing collateral circulation to the damaged areas. Still battling giardia--I wouldn't wish that bug on anyone! We're on round 3 of antibiotics.

She has a recheck on her eye in a couple weeks. But.....she 'pawed' my little JRT when they were playing so now HE has a corneal ulceration! It is very small, so I am using the same eye drops I used on Daffie, on Jack. I just can't get a break! Ha!

Thank you again for your kindness! Everyone's comments and support have really helped keep me from stressing out too much!

Take Care!

Hi -- so great to hear from you! Nope, I don't have Tivo, unfortunately, but I plan to catch up on Grey's online. Cool that they played Joshua Radin music! He is actually going on tour this summer and will be playing close to where I live. But I might be going out of town that same weekend -- bummer! I just love his music so much!!

Glad my note "sparked" a shakeup. LOL! Don't ever give up!! You're worth it!!! Feel free to leave "long" notes on my page anytime -- every day if you want. We can help each other lose these pesky pounds.
