To all my SparkWarriors (NETGUNNY), It was one heck of a week! To start off, I managed to lose one pound and I was able to crossover to One-der-land (below 200). I also kicked butt on my NAVY PRT test. I did 75 sit-ups in two minutes and completed 70 pushups; with the same allowed min. Although, I was quite surprise with my run? The Navy allowed me to run a mile and half less than 15 min 30 sec; I did it in 13 min 19 sec and still had energy to keep running. But what had me feeling real good was that my partner was 5 years younger and I smoked all of his scores; he was quite surprise too (soon-to be 45 VS 40 yrs old)? As for my eating, I did go over twice for the week, but I still managed to lose that pound. Overall, I think I did great! For doing so good yesterday, I REALLY splurged on eating (what the heck it was Cinco de Mayo)! I went way over my calorie intake! Today I was going to cancel my cardio; due to doing it yesterday (yesterday was suppose to be my day off), however I got up this morning and managed to bang it out. So why did I write this part? I wanted all of my SparkWarriors to see it is all about attitude and effort! If you put your mind to something you will accomplish it. And to add to that note about working out today; I still did it with a sore throat, coughing and feeling congested! BUT I DO FEEL BETTER AFTER A DRENCHED SWEATY T-SHIRT! Last but no least, please stay focus and if you need to higher your effort button - then do it (Ooorah)! p.s - I have posted new pics!
I forgot to tell ya it was really strange going for his SOI/MCT training graduation at Pendleton. It is the same place we brought him home from the hospital to when he was born.....never having a clue he would one day train to be a Marine there....boggled this Momma's mind a bit, lol. 1157 days ago
To all my SparkWarriors - NETGUNNY (my weekly accountability), Well, I didn’t hit my goal this week; I really wanted to be below 200 (Oh well)! Come next week, I know for a fact that I will be in the “Onederlands” (below 200 pounds)! On the positive note, I did manage to drop 3 pounds (I'm @ 200). I did do my weekly review of what went good or bad today. I am surprised that after last weekend of going WAY OVER my calorie intake; I still managed to drop 3 pounds? I guess I credited it to my cardio program? I am calculating that I am averaging an hour a day and burning about 600 – 700 calories a day; on a 6 day routine (that’s not including my daily routine). I also credit that after my light dinner; I have been going out and banging out some “honey do chores” (even when I am tired). So in a nutshell, I have been eating whatever I want (moderately), I’ve been working out steadily (cardio only) and the results have shown that I have been either holding steady on my weight or dropping a couple of pounds here or there? Isn’t that how it is supposed to be? I encourage all of you; if you haven’t started yet; to start a weekly review of your food intake/ activity. It has been a big help to me! It gets me hyped up for next week by planning on what I need to do! Take care, Stay focus, and do not lose sight of your goals. I’m looking forward to hearing your success (Ooorah)!
