Me in April 2010
Hello, my name is Nessa. I joined Sparkpeople about 8 months ago, but didn't really incorporate it into my life. I just turned 23, and decided that I am way too young to let me life pass me by. I've been living life from the sidelines. Im sick of being scared of what others think, and I'm tired of not liking the way I look & feeling bad about myself. I want to be able to be like a normal woman my age and do things like go to the beach, swim in a pool, wear shorts and most importantly just feel better about myself. I refuse to make excuses for myself any longer. I am done watching myself get bigger and bigger every year and feeling nothing but helplessness. I'm done telling myself that I can't do this! I'm taking my life back! It's now or never, and I'm choosing now!
My ultimate goal is to lose about 80 pounds. I have a big sweet tooth and consume lots of sugar, so one of my goals is to severly reduce my sugar intake. My main goal right now is to get active. Its getting nicer outside so I'd really like to take advantage of that. I have a gym membership, but I have been blowing off going, mostly out of laziness :( Ideally I would like to go to the gym 5 days a week but I know myself, so a more realistic goal for me right now, 3 days a week. And lastly, I have to acheive all of this, while being gluten free!
Here are some of the rewards I decided to give myself for working hard:
10 lbs lost - New outfit
25 lbs lost - 1 hour massage
40 lbs lost - $150 shopping spree
55 lbs lost - Party "I lost 55 lbs party"
70 lbs lost - Cruise/vacation of some sort
85 lbs lost (will reach goal weight!!) - Spa weekend!
**Every year that I keep the weight off, I will go on vacation!
-Cardio 3 days a week for at least 45 minutes.
-Strength training 3 days a week.
-Tracking my food intake and my exercise habits.
-Drinking lots of water.
-Eating lots of fruits and veggies.
Hello! I am a 23 year old female, with about 80 pounds to lose, while on a gluten free diet. I am a Christian and I am from New England. I'm a big movie buff and read about 5 books a month. I love peanut butter, dogs, going to the movies. I also play the guitar!!
