Facing Reality and Loving Me...

I can't believe that yesterday (Sept 16) was my 7 year anniversary with SparkPeople. Oh, how my life has changed for the better!!

I was pretty healthy, but didn't want to continue to gain weight. So I started out wanting to lose 35 pounds.

Update: Well, thanks to healthy living, I reached this 35 pound weight loss goal on 1/6/08. Now, I'm going for the last 25.

Update: Down 49.5 pounds as of 4/20/08. I'd like to lose another 10.5.

Update: Down 57.5 pounds as of 8/3/08!!!! Went shopping and I tried on a size 10 blazer and it fit!

UPDATE: Made it to GOAL on Sept. 15, 2008 - the day before my one year Anniversary here at SparkPeople!

UPDATE: I've kept the weight off for eight months!

UPDATE: Slipped and fell, but on my way back...

UPDATE: Back on track since July 28, 2014. I lost my focus, but found it again. My focus is being healthy in my 'old age'. I don't want my focus to be on how I look. That is just a benefit of being really healthy.

Still a wonderful journey...

Eating healthy. Balancing carbs, fats and proteins with emphasis on protein. Staying around 1300 calories a day, 8+ glasses of water. Fitness includes at least 30 minutes a day.

Thanks for your comment on my blog post. I know what I need to do, what I need to eat, etc., it's just a matter of doing it! And eating good food, eating clean just makes me feel better. I ate a "lightly fried" piece of fish the other day and it about killed me. I felt sick to my stomach for several hours and I said to myself "why must I test it out just to remember how sick it makes me?" Please stay in touch. I'm motivated to get to my ultimate goal weight.
