"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Since joining SparkPeople, I have become slimmer and healthier -- in spite of major surgery in January 2010. I am able to do much more than before and feel better.

Since joining SparkPeople, I have become slimmer and healthier -- in spite of major surgery in January 2010. I am able to do much more than before and feel better.

I am the mother of 6 gifts from God, 3 boys -- Jason, Richard and Bryan --and 3 girls -- Kristen, Catherine, and Jessica. One of my sons is presently in the military (Air Force), one got out of the Navy and went to graduate school and got his Master's degree in biology and is now here in WA state deconstructing a ship, and the third is working after getting out of the Army and is working on his college course work to become a psychologist. He has joined the Army National Guard now and they will help him to pay for his education. My oldest daughter is a paralegal, my second daughter is an R.N., and the youngest is employed by the DOL.

I have eight grandchildren, a girl Paige and a boy Isaac, an adorable boy named Keith Bryan, a grandson named Dylan, a grandson named Trent, a girl Isabella Noelle, then Brady, and an infant named Eric.

I also am the crazy cat and dog lady. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

God is my rock and my strength.

I can understand my dad's fears about falling easily as well. His body is not cooperating and he is having to deal with the thoughts of losing even more independence because of it. My heart breaks for him, but I can only do so much. He called me last night to say he had another spasm but this time it went clear down to his ankles. He was ultimately trying to get out of a trip to the doctor, but he will have to go next week or there is no hope of getting help for the spasms and pain.

We are at 50 this morning as well with very gray skies but no rain yet!

That's what I'm sure they will say as well, but I honestly don't know how much he is doing in therapies either. Could hear more than I do from dad. Sad, but I can also understand his frustration/fear.
