I joined Sparkpeople in July 2010. It's by far the best online resource I have found. I even have the app on my phone to keep me accountable during the day. The food and fitness trackers have been a blessing, but even moreso is the Sparkpeople community. Blessed to have met some inspiring people.

I have been fighting with weight and an eating disorder for most of my life, but more than usual in the last seven years. I have joined OA this year in hopes that I can have the support of others like myself and learn to overcome my issues surrounding food and my addiction to binge eating. It has been very hard getting real with myself, but it was very necessary.

If I could give anyone advice that is having similar struggles, it is to truly love yourself, accept yourself, know that you are ENOUGH and to start to learn how to take care of you above all else. I've noticed that people that hold onto weight are those that don't take the time to truly nurture themselves outside of numbing their pain with food or by coping with food. Get out there and be active, write, and be around like-minded individuals who understand you.

That's why Spark is so great. We all cheer each other on. Life is hard enough, we all need more support. LET's do this together!

My goal is to lose 85 lbs this year (2013).

My Goals:
- To feel comfortable in my own skin

- To be able to bike 10 miles without stopping
- To be able to wear a sleeveless shirt or dress
- To have more confidence
- To look beautiful in my wedding photos
-To be healthier and lower my BMI under 30


My Program:
- Drink plenty of water
- Little to no sugar, checking labels to do all lowfat, no sugar, and low salt foods.
- Trader Joes Shopping
- Walking dog twice a day
- Staying Active on the weekends whether that be Tennis, Biking, or Hiking with the hubs
- Yoga DVD
- EA Active Sports Fitness Game
- 30 Day Shred
- Walking with Sparkies
