Need a waist now :)

I am soon to be 54 and need to lose 30 lbs. I have accepted a challenge to ride in a 25km bike race. I can do the 25km but I want to improve my time and the best way for that is to loss weight and gain strength. And I don't want to buy anymore cloths I want to get into the shorts and dresses I have now.

This picture is a few years old but I can still wear this dress. Doesn't fit great but that will change!

I saw your post about losing weight to bike a race. How is it going? I have recently been working with a nutritionist in Guelph. She focuses on nutrients and eating well throughout the day. Weight loss is a side effect to eating well! What a novel approach. I have lost 20 pounds since I started working with Jumanah but better than that I am focusing on a healthy approach to food for a lifetime. Look her up Jumanah Beck at EarthSuitNutrition.

Welcome to SparkPeople. We think of this as a life style change and not diets. I love the food and fitness trackers. They are very good tools. There are lots of us who reach for food as a comfort and that is something we all work on daily. I am glad to meet you.
