Hello Sparkies!!!!
Isn't it funny how you can let so many outside influences stray you away from your motivation? I have always taken care of everyone but me! I am so guilty of letting someone else's needs take priority over what I want to do for myself. Every time I get fixated on my needs I seem to be taken away in someone elses wants.
Where does this cycle end?????

I want to get back on track towards my goals and dreams!
I purchased an agenda book to schedule my "me-time" and try to get some kind of balance with the rest of life spinning around me!

I am a purdy smart chick...there has to be a way to do this!!!
SO here I go.....
Wish me luck! and come along for the ride if ya wanna!!
Have a beautiful blessed day!!! and Keep on SParking!!!!!

Update: 5/26/10
Figured it was time for an update. Since the last update posted, I realized how bad I was during the holidays. I have taken the necessary steps (in my book) to change my wicked ways..hahahaha Well atleast I am back on the wagon again, pursuing the life style changes that I need to make, one step at a time! I am surrounding myself with positive friends and my mind has begun to yearn more and more for healthy ideas! I am reading everything I can get my hands on concerning healthy living and exercising, which leads me to say that there are some pretty amazing people here at SP! Always giving of themselves, their time, energy and info to all the wanna-bes, gonna-bes and the likes of me!! I am so thankful for everything that they provide! I am also so proud of the new-found friends that I have met on here that inspire me to keep pushing!!! You guys rock!!
Well I guess I have chewed your ears long enough for now. So now I gotta get busy planning my exercise schedules and what I can now nourish my body with!! See. Always thinking healthy, healthy, healthy!!!!! And I like it!!!

UPDATE: 1/2/10
So much for the holidays!!! I was so bad again!!! I really havent exercised or watched my portions since I was sick in November with pneumonia!! Now I have just had a reality check with my scale....OH NO!!! I'VE DONE IT AGAIN....Why do I let this happen???
I was doing so good....then bam, no double BAM....Gained back almost half of what I had lost!!!
Gotta get myself back on track.....just gotta figure out where to start again!!! I keep telling myself that I know how to do this, so why cant I stay motivated and on track????
There has gotta be a light at the end of this tunnel somehow!!
Time to start over again....Time to let the athlete in me surface again....Time to believe in myself and make these healthy life changes!!
ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO!!!!! And dont look back ya hear!!!

UPDATE TIME: 10/16/09
Reunion came and went..had a blast...didnt really lose any significant amount of weight.......still holding at 40 pounds lost
in Plateau City!!!! Tired of this town and ready to move on to Better Horizons!!! Now where's my map??? Its time to roll......

Gotta kick it in gear again...maybe I just need someone or something to kick me in the rear instead...LOL!!!

Wow....where has the last 30 years gone since graduation????
I have my 30 year reunion coming up in October and I have refused to let any of my classmates see me this way!!! I would not dare go to any of the other reunions for fear of what everyone would think of me!! In high school I was a super jockette of sorts...There wasn't any sport that I could not participate in...
I was more fit than most of the guys...I don't know when I became my own worst enemy....quit caring about me...But I know its time now to get a grip and do something about this for me!!

I know after all the attempts to lose and failures that I have experienced that I just can't do this alone!! Thank goodness for Sparkpeople!!!! I have met some very sweet people on here that are genuinely sincere in trying to help!! I read the Motivation pages daily....there is some really good advice on there! And it makes me feel that I am not alone on this journey!

I know I want this real bad...and I tell myself that I can do this!!!
Now is the time to just do it!!!!But do it right...therefore I am tryng to monitor my calories, what I eat and exercise,exercise.....
Thats the main factor that I have been missing all these years!
I can't believe that I have let myself get so sedentary in my ways!
Thats where the excuses begin! Well no more!!!!
I know that I am quite capable of doing this but I have always let outside interferences bring me down everytime! I have got to learn to say NO! And that its ok to say no!
I am ready to do this!!!! So why does my motivation keep slipping???

It's time for me to take contol of my body and make the changes necessary to achieve my goals for myself!!!!!

I know it won't be easy! And you have to take tiny steps first! But you have to be consistant and be committed to doing this for yourself! Cause no one can do it for you!!!!!

Well hello! Finally a light has clicked on and I see what I have become! And shame on me for letting it happen!!!!
So now its time for my body to get in-sync with my brain...
My brain knows that I have an inner athlete buried in there...somewhere.. waiting to explode and live life again!!!!

I am committing myself to achieving this goal 100%!!!!!

I prayed for guidance to attain this goal!!! I knew that I could not do this alone!!!! So I gave it to God!!!! And believe me He listens to us when we give it all to him!!!! He has led me to Sparkpeople!!
And all the wonderful people and advice that I need to achieve this goal!!!

My name is Lacey and I would love to hear from anyone stopping by my page with advice or just to say hello!!!!

So it's time for a change!!!!! C ya on our journey!!!!!!!!!

The symbol for Cancer is the Crab, with its protective shell. People with this Sun sign are sometimes also called "Moon Children," because the Moon is the ruler of the sign.
In Cancer the Sun is receptive and moody. You are a very sensitive person who is easily influenced by your environment. You are likely to be exceedingly protective of your feelings, as well as the feelings of those to whom you are close. Emotions are strong in your nature. You approach life with many feelings and a strong nurturing tendency. Your moods are varied and changeable. They are synchronized to the Moon, flowing in and out like the tide. You are acutely aware of the atmosphere of feelings surrounding you. You're skeptical and distrustful of people. It's not what they say, but simply the way they say it and the way you interpret their meaning.
You need to tell your deepest thoughts. When those around you are not receptive, you can become quite difficult to reach. The "crabby" part of Cancer shows up once in awhile, as well. When these moods are in control of your behavior, you can snap someone's head off for no reason at all. People you live around have to learn that you are not really angry with them. This is just the way Moon children are sometimes. By nature you are quiet and somewhat reserved, frequently retreating or putting up a protective barrier when you feel in any way threatened.
You are attuned to the past. You tend to cling to reminders and memorabilia of your family and of earlier times. Many Cancers are attracted to collecting antiques. You may be one of those people who collects just about everything. It's hard for you to part with something when there may be a chance need some rainy day, no matter how remote that chance may be. Cancers are the original "pack-rats."
You place much importance on the home and family. Your family or your "family of friends" is the center of your life. They provide you your sense of security and belonging. Your role in this environment is the source of your self-esteem and often overshadow your sense of individuality. It's hard to break away from your early upbringing and depart from the family traditions you have experienced. Cancer is the sign of motherhood. In both sexes, it produces a parenting instinct that is caring, protective, and indulging. Even unmarried Cancers adopt friends, co-workers, and neighbors in an extended family situation.
Hardworking and dedicated, you make an excellent employee. You are loyal and respect authority. This makes you supportive and protective of the boss and rarely questioning company policy. You do find it very difficult to handle change and disruption. If you are the boss, you like your employees to be dedicated as you are. Unfortunately, sometimes you may surround yourself with "yes men" who simply reinforce your decisions. You don't take chances or risk sweeping change.
Money is very important to you. Not for what it will buy or for the freedom it provides, but for the sense of security it provides. No matter what else is to be said of Cancer, security and having the protective shell in place, is overriding.
