Hi!! (not so new, but haven't been on SparkPeople in years)
Have had too many excuses for not making my goals - albeit partially valid - i.e. pcos, thyroid..whatever... I still have to lose weight. I've been doing a pretty good job of it on my own so far. thought I would come back here for some support. I injured my knees, so have been nursing them via physical therapy. So far so good! Can't wait to get back to good health - yoga, hiking, biking, etc. Was so active, and been missing all those activities. Even zumba! One day!!
My goal is to be healthy, and lose weight steadily. This is new lifestyle change, and I'm excited to stick with it for the long haul!
Monday - Sunday: walk daily 20 mins/day
personal trainer - 1/week
Following Eat to Live Program: no oil, no dairy, no meat (I'm vegetarian anyhow though), no caffeine, sugar/artificial sweeteners. Lots of greens (cooked/fresh), vegetables, and fruits
Lover of animals, nature, music, arts, travel, culture, languages. The list goes on.
I love languages, reading books - Paulo Coelho, James Patterson, Anita Desai, Iris Johansen, John Grisham, K. Gibran, Jean Sasson, books like Kite Runner, Memoirs of a Geisha, ..the list goes on. I love music next to oxygen. play the piano (self-taught - so still make a lot of mistakes!), sing (as a hobby), paint, draw, photography, and yes.. I love puzzles too!
