My Journey to Health

After losing 70 lbs. on Weight Watchers I came to a screeching halt on my weight loss journey because of having pancreatitis and a Clostridium difficile infection. After getting out of the hospital I couldn't digest fat or fiber and the healthy diet I'd come to practice and love was impossible to follow.

My plateau has lasted for about four years now but this summer I began having acupuncture treatments and am able to eat raw vegetables again although I still can't eat even the good fat.
I'm determined to make this the year I get that last 30 lbs. off! So here we go!

My Goals:
Right now I'm busy trying to maintain my health after having a C.diff infection and pancreatitis. The two together took me on a medical journey I hope to never repeat!
My goals now are to try to get back some muscle strength. After the C. diff my jaw wouldn't open for a good while and my muscles seem to be destroyed when it comes to strength. I also have paralysis of the stomach (gastroparesis).

My Program:
I am learning more and more as I journey into my personal health quest.
I am working at making most of my food be fresh, organic if possible, whole foods and good fats. Even though the scales doesn't show a change my health definitely is getting better with each week. I feel the best I've felt since my severe illnes several years ago that changed my whole life...

Personal Information:
Pastor's wife, happily married for 37 years. Seven children and 20 grandchildren!
