I decided to do the Hundred Pushup Challenge because I hate pushups. Okay, here's the whole reason... I'm in the Air Force and in September I took and passed the fitness test and did 20 pushups for that. When it was over, my first thought was, "Oh good! I passed. Now I can stop doing pushups!" But I knew if I did that I'd have to start from scratch again next year. So I knew I had to keep doing them. That's when I noticed the Hundred Pushups group on someone's SparkPage and thought, 100 pushups? At one time? And I clicked on it. The rest is history.
How many could I do when I started? Well, after having my son a few years ago I could do maybe 1 and that horrified me since I had done as many as 28 in college and could do about 15 a few years before I had him. I could do 7 in March 08. I worked for a long time on them until I could do between 20 and 25 in Sept. I started the challenge on Oct 15th. I wish I'd discovered the program earlier because it's the fastest program I've ever seen for increasing you pushup numbers quickly. 2837 days ago
well done! stick at it...it'll make you feel loads better. I've just weighed myself today and i've lost 8 pounds. i'm a bit excited now. lol. i've also joined a gym. The kids go to nursery 3days a week which gives me more time to do exercise. Thats a good idea with the timer...! i think i might try that but with my phone's alarm. I love eating cellery, red pepper with homous. its healthy and yummy. i'm also addicted to melon...lol. breast feeding will help you lose weight tho aswell. thats what they tol me after i had my first but i had an emergency c section that i couldn't bear the pain so i bottle fed. daddy got up for the night feeds...ha! hope your making progress. x x 2844 days ago
hiya. i too am looking for a spark buddy. especially with little ones running round. It's hard to find a balance when you have so much to do and looking after the children. I'm trying to budget my lifestyle especially my food. One good thing is, exercise is free, anytime. even if your running up and down your garden with the kids or playing a sport with them. its fun for you all and burns off a lot. Try making a big soup with all your left over veggies, meat or poultry and stock. whizz it up in a blender and freeze it. it's great to heat up and smooth enough for babies. Also if your on a low budget for shopping, try rice, or pasta. It lasts a long time and fills you up for a long time. Try not to go 5 hours without food though and make sure you don't eat after 7 and get an early night. easier said than done in my home though lol. hope you find any of this helpful and feel free to chat anytime. it's nice to meet people in the same boat. x x x 2846 days ago
