Hello Everyone,

My name is Nannette "Nette." This is the beginning of a long and needed journey. Ten years ago I was part of one of the United States Armed Forces. GO ARMY, HOORAH! I was in the best physical shape of my life! Once the sand and dust of Desert Storm had cleared my tour of duty came to a close. That's when my love a food began. My transition back into the civilian world didn't go over to well. The time I used to spend running and working out with my military buddies and my husband, I now spent eating and watching television. Over the years I have put on 70lbs extra.

I decided to do something about my weight Jan 05. I was doing great! Then in Oct of 2005 my husband and I received wonderful news. We were going to have another child! Everything was going great until in my fifth month we lost the baby. I had lost my child and gained the 20lbs I has lost back plus 30lbs more. I fell into an emotional slump. I stopped exercising and basically ceased to function.

Then in Feb 06 I found Sparks People. I decided to try again. I have since lost 20lbs so far, whoohoo! I am also a mother of two beautiful girls 12 & 15. My girls work out with me now, which motivates me to no end and the support of my husband is phenomenal!

My transformation has begun and I hope to continue to meet my goal of being Fit & Forty!

My Goals:
My goal was to lose 70 pounds by the end of 2006 and get back to my Army weight. I still realize that exercise more often and healthy eating is the key to my success.

In 2006 I've lost 32lbs. Now in 2007 I've got to finish the job.

My Program:
I am on a caloric intake of 1200-1550 a day. Making sure I get in my 64oz of cool clear water each day. I'm planning my meals ahead of time, especially lunch so there's none of the I forgot lunch let's go to Micky D's.

Missing you my Sparks friend, hope everything is going great with you and your family. I've eliminated some Spark teams and joined others. Recently, accepted co-leader job with W8Watchers Superb Healthy Recipes. I'm still working on my weight loss, with the up's and downs of weight. Coming up June 2nd Surgery at Duke to repair my body. Listen to my Dr advise. Spring is soon gone and summer is knocking at our doors. Planting perennials flowers and enjoying my " retired" days. Take care of yourself.
