Living the Life I Love

Hi, and thanks for stopping by my Sparkpage! My Spark journey is, as the title of my page says, all about living life to the fullest. When I joined Spark a few months ago, that meant getting healthy: cutting out all the junk that I ate as a staple in my diet and adding exercise, for which I never seemed to have the time. Hi, and thanks for stopping by my Sparkpage! My Spark journey is, as the title of my page says, all about living life to the fullest. When I joined Spark a few months ago, that meant getting healthy: cutting out all the junk that I ate as a staple in my diet and adding exercise, for which I never seemed to have the time. As I sit here updating my page, it strikes me that a healthy diet and regular exercise are now part of daily life for me. (Note: This does NOT mean a complete absence of McDonald's fries!) Although I have an off day (or week, sometimes), my whole mindset about living healthy has changed from a decision of a few months' duration to a lifestyle adjustment, and this change has given me a new energy and excitement to live life.

My name's Brenda, and I've been married to my husband, Kenny, for five years now. It's been a great five, and I love married life. Kenny and I have two kids, Katie (3 going on 16) ;) and Caleb (2). Shadow, our black lab mix, is my baby. I'm a stay-at-home mom and homemaker- it's long hours, a challenging work environment, and great benefits. ;)

My main purpose in life is to live the life that I have for God. Healthy living helps me to do that, and I believe it's a part of the abundant life that God wants to give each of us.

My Goals:
My goal is to maintain my current weight and increase my fitness level.

My Program:
I try to eat as balanced a diet as possible with my budget, with some treats thrown in, as well. Right now my go-to workout is Coach Nicole's Cardio-Kickboxing video, here on Sparkpeople. (I love that workout!) I also do stair-stepping, and I try to get out for at least one 30-min. walk/day. I do 2-3 strength-training sessions/week, and I shoot for about an hour of yoga/week. I want to start running regularly in the future.

You are so beautiful. Thanks for such a sweet comment. It really makes me feel good to know that i have people out there that support me. Take care and good luck! ;)

Ps. I also see that you love Mcdonalds fries. Look up the Mcdonalds 4 year old cheeseburger on youtube. They show fries that are 4 years old beside fresh cut potatoes that are 3 days old. The potatoes have mold, but the mcdonalds fries are still as ordered except a little harder. This shows that mcdonalds is putting very harsh chemicals in their food and that kind of food will go straight to your thighs. Haha! I'm not lecturing you in any way i eat mcdonalds fries sometimes myself. They are just too good. Haha!
